Our Story
A tradition born in Naples, among artisan workshops,
fine leathers and manufactures made for those who
recognize the value of excellence.
The prestige of the Courts
Artigiani del Re was founded in Naples, a city rich in centuries-old workshops, where ancient crafting techniques inspired the desire to breathe new life into a tradition that has thrived for over 300 years.
A tradition that, in the 18th-century Bourbon era, was a source of pride among the Courts: artisans satisfied royal demands by creating exquisite manufactures, from clothing to travel trunks, from tapestries to the upholstery of the Royal Palace.
It was precisely thanks to the King's prestigious commissions that
these masters became known as "Artigiani del Re" (Artisans of the King).
The shops of Naples
Leather processing was among the most common and, at the same time, most complex crafts.
Its quality originated first and foremost from the selection of raw materials and found
full expression in the tanning stage.
Craftsmanship was the core of the 18th-century economy, and even today,
just like in the past, the artisan breathes life into their objects within the workshop.
Like a sculptor, through ingenuity, creativity, and artistic genius,
they transform matter into unique creations.
